George Vincent Humphrey is an operatic tenor and Colorado native residing in Tirol, Austria, where he is engaged full-time with the Tiroler Festspiele Erl. This will mark George’s first concert in Manitou Springs City; he and colleagues Joyce Hanagan, oboe, and Abram Minzer, piano, offer a program of English-language art songs composed by Ralph Vaugh Williams, Roger Quilter, Richard Hundley, and Cole Porter on 10 March 2019. Featured in this concert is the Ralph Vaughn Williams song cycle Ten Blake songs that the composer wrote for voice and oboe. Colorado Springs resident and colleague Joyce Hanagan performs the oboe in this rarely-heard set of romantic English art songs.
